Alfalfa

Alfalfa (Medicago L.) a genus of annual, biennial, perennial plants or perennials from the legume family. The genus has over 100 species found on all continents of the Old World. Some species are valuable fodder plants that are grown for green fodder, fodder, dried crops, hay or silage. Due to the high content of protein, vitamins and minerals, it is an excellent supplement to the feed of farm animals, especially cattle. Alfalfa seeds can be sown on hay fields in mixtures with grasses to obtain an abundant harvest of nutritionally valuable and easily digestible green fodder or haylage. We recommend Perfecta, Gea and Plato alfalfa seeds. These drought and disease resistant varieties are reliable in Polish climatic conditions. Packaging mainly 25 kg, but it is possible to prepare an individual order. Alfalfa is one of the best green fertilizers. The advantages of this valuable plant include: short vegetation period, strong vigor and high competitiveness, thanks to which weeds have no chance to multiply in its position. Additionally, the presented species enriches the substrate with nitrogen, and thanks to its extensive roots, it leaves the soil in excellent condition - aerated, loose and free from contamination.
